Problems in starting up Puppy Linux
Hello Everybody,
I am new to Puppy Linux and I am trying to use the latest version (4.1) of the program on my notebook - Samsung Q10 with a 6-pin firewire cd/dvd combo and XP Pro SP-2.
At a certain point in the start-up process I get the following messages:
1- Loading kernel drivers needed to access disk drives ......................... done
2- Searching for Puppy files in computer disk drives ............................... pup_410.sfs not found. Dropping out to initial-ramdisk console ...
/bin/sh: can`t access tty; job control turned off
At this point I can proceed no further.
Can you help me on this please?
Thanks

Hello, At the prompt,
Hello,
At the prompt, before Puppy boots, enter the code.."acpi=off irqpoll"..( without the quotes)
"Close the "Windows",and open your eyes, to a whole new world"
