Puppy Phone Home
Puppy Sip is a Soft Internet Phone or more correctly a
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) program
Puppy users can phone worldwide if they have a SIp number
Installing Gizmo will provide that number . . .
I wrote a front end to the efficient command line pjsua program
The whole program is just over 1MB and we may get it smaller yet . . .
The program also runs from MS Windows
(a type of obsolete legacy operating system)
You can leave voice messages if the person is unavailable.
Puppy is Linux on the edge.
Now that we have proved it works,
we need a real programmer to improve the interface to the command line.
We may need a Sip server. Will we get it in Puppy 4.1? Let's hope so . . .
Ring Ring . . .
