startin g a blog here... why?

I decided to start a blog here to share my puppy experience. hope it will be useful for somebody.

I want to concentrate on different window managers i use or tested. I do not compile myself, so i just take what is already made for puppy. Now i use openbox on my desktop and pekwm on EEE pc. So i will post some short notes on both of them and eee pc also

i will not build a special pupplet because puppy 4.1.1 is quite good enough for eee.

may be some apps to add....

now i pick up files for russian ( base ) localization

I have recently tried to follow your progress on adapting Puppy for the eee 701 in the forums. As I seem to share a lot of your opinions on what the Puppy experience should be like on an eee, I value your insightful tips.

What I REALLY would appreciate in your blog is an easy guide on how to setup Puppy 4.1.1 on an eee 701, with all the appropriate drivers in place, all possible tweaks for fast startup etc and how to replace Seamonkey with Opera (which, as I've seen that you also believe, is way better on the eee).

By the way I think you would make an outstanding Puppet for the eee 701 but, as stated above,  a guide where you gather all your findings would be highly appreciated too! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :)

i think that just default

i think that just default puppy is good enough( or may be if there will be a new boxpup wich already has both openbox and opera inside) to use on eee

i just added fbreader  sakura and mc

also mpd is fine for playing music( i hope there will be a pet from aragon soon)

i switched to openbox from jwm because it is much easier to configure and even without a panel it works fine.
