"Greater than the tread of mighty armies is an idea whose time has come." - Victor Hugo
That idea is Multi-Language Puppy - An unstoppable force arises
Introduction
A multi-lingual operating system is useful for many people. It means that they can keep the menus and help files in English (or their local language) and still allow for data to be read and input in another language, or even several languages.
Why might you want a multi-lingual system?
•Do you share a computer with friends or family members who speak different languages from you?
•Are you learning a new language or languages, and don't yet feel knowledgeable enough to handle menus in the new language(s)?
•Are you are running an internet café, or a multi-lingual workplace? You may want have several languages available to users, and still have the underlying system in the local language for support purposes.
There's still lots to be done. Bug fixes, testing new programs, improving the documentation, translating help files, adding to the wiki. More information here.
I have plans to use Puppy in school.
So then at least the desktop environment should be translated in Dutch.
Are there Dutch people who started this work?
Or willing to join with me and translating Puppy desktop to Dutch
