GParted (Gnome Partition Editor) is a program for inspecting and formatting the partitions on a harddrive (it is a graphical frontend for Parted).

GParted is standard on many version of Puppy include Puppy 5. See Menu > System > GParted partition manager

Fastest file system for flash memory drives is EXT 4, this requires e2fsprogs.
