Recommended course of action
- CreateLiveCDorDVD
- As you become more confident you may later decide to perform an installation. Start with a frugal installation. At a later date you may perform a full installation. You will need the Puppy Linux LiveCD or DVD created earlier so as to install a boot loader. Without a boot loader one does not have an operating system. If your machine does not have an optical disc drive, start off by using someone else's.
- If you really must insist on not creating a Puppy Linux Live DVD, then you will have to follow this procedure which involves more effort: Installing without a LiveDVD
